Owen's First Baseball Game

Owen went to his first baseball game, the Lowell Spinners. They are a minor league team of the Red Sox. Brian's company had an outing, so we took Owen along for the fun. I forgot to bring a camera, so we had to rely on photos taken by co-workers. Not the best shots in the world, but Owen seem to have a good time taking it all in.

Doctor Visit

Aside from the 4 booster shots that left Owen very irritable, we had a good visit with the pediatrician. He weighed in at a whopping 16 lbs. 3 oz. And he was 24.5 inches long. The doctor said he was doing fantastic and said that Owen was what he calls a "Chunk", but not in a bad way at all. Brian and I have been calling him that ever since.

Attentive

I wish I hadn't zoomed in on Owen so much for this photo so that it included Grandpa Kuder. I just love how Owen is checking him out. He is really starting to become much more interactive. He pays more attention to people when they are talking to him. Owen has even started to babble quite a bit. It's like he's trying to have a conversation with you. He's so entertaining!

A Grandpa is Born

Grandma and Grandpa Kuder are visiting us this weekend. This is the first time that Grandpa Kuder has seen Owen. I love these photos of Owen and proud, new Grandpa. As soon as he got there, he said "I've got to hold him, I've got to hold him." But then wouldn't do it standing up...he said "Wait a second, I have to sit down". Very cute. I really tried, but I couldn't get him to change a diaper, though.

Laugh

Owen is already skilled at smiling in response to the goofy faces we make for him. Today was the first time I got him to really giggle and laugh out loud. It might possibly be the best sound in the world!

New and Exciting...

Owen and I went to visit my friend Joanne and her sons and they loaned us their doorway jumper and exer-saucer. New and exciting things to entertain Owen that he has been really enjoying.

New Wheels

Owen turned 4 months old today, and we marked the occasion with Owen's first ride in his new stroller. The world looks a lot different when you're forward facing. Owen seemed to love it.
Brian and I were both home for the day, so we took Owen in the stroller on the bike trail to Lexington Center. The weather was great and Owen was an angel, snoozing and checking things out. Such a wonderful day!

A Family Photo

It is pretty hard to get a photo with all three of us - let alone one with all three of us looking at the camera. I thought a little family photo in our backyard would look nice with those purple flowers in bloom. It might have looked a little better with Owen in a cuter outfit and if Brian weren't hunched over, but hey, this is real life!

Happy 4th of July!

Lexington has a fairly big carnival that comes to town for the 4th. Brian decided we had to take Owen and check things out. There's really not much you can do with an infant - but Owen was awake and alert for the whole thing. Loud music and lots of rides - next year should prove interesting!

The Bebe Pod

I've been waiting for Owen to hold his head up enough so that he can sit in his little pod seat. I sat him in it for the first time today and he did pretty good. The only problem is that he seems to be a bit too chubby for the seat. It's hard to get him in and out - but maybe he's suppose to fit snugly? It makes me anxious for him to sit up on his own.

It's All About the Smile

Our days are spent getting Owen to smile for us. It is the most enjoyable thing ever. What makes him smile one day doesn't necessarily work the next day, but it's fun to invent new ways to be silly and get that wonderful, heartwarming smile!
