Puzzle Master

I can't help but be proud of our little man as he has truly mastered putting puzzles together. He can get a little frustrated with the tougher ones, but if you just talk him through it, he can figure it out on his own.

Cooking with Owen

Owen is quite the kitchen helper. We have found that if he actually helps with making his dinner, he is more likely to eat it. Above he is putting on the finishing touches of his chicken quesadilla. It is really weird...he ate most of his quesadilla this night, but if you try to offer him left overs the next day, he wants nothing to do with it!

Robbins Farm Park

We had a playdate with Danya at Robbins Farm Park. Owen always has a great time at this playground because there is so much to do!

The boys had a good time playing and the older they get, the more they actually play with each other. A lot of times it's one following the other, but they are totally aware of what the other is up to.

Owen + Danya = Mommy. They had a lot of fun riding the titter totter together.

The Discovery Museum

We took the boys to the Discovery Museum which was a fairly fun place for Owen. Each room had a different theme...from trains, to boats, to water play. There was lots to do. Owen loved this kitchen where he cooked us up all kinds of goodies!

Baking Buddy

Owen loves to help out in the kitchen. I don't have to ask twice when I invite him to make cookies with me. He enjoys pouring the measuring cups into the mixing bowl, and lately it's been a fun game to count out the number of cups as we go.

This was just priceless. Owen didn't think to use his fingers to get at the cookie dough, he did everything he could to get his tongue on that beater!

Cup Drinking

Owen has been requesting to drink from his "Owen" cup which is awesome. No more sippy cups. Of course I won't let him have anything other than water in this cup, but he doesn't seem to mind. What a big boy he is becoming!

Potty

It's probably a good thing this photo is blurry...I hope this doesn't embarrass Owen when he's bigger. BUT this accurately shows the love hate relationship Owen has with the potty right now. He's into certain aspects of going potty...using toilet paper and flushing, but actually sitting on the potty is a struggle. His interest seems to be there, but I'm not sure how much I should push him. Right now we are just letting him go at his own speed.

Wrestling Bros!

Owen has finally found something that Marcus is good for...Wrestling!
Can't you just hear the squeals of delight!?!

Look out Owen, Marcus is pretty darn big!

Ah, brotherly love...for now!

Garden Helper

Owen has been a great helper when it comes to watering the flowers...which has been a lot this summer. No rain = lots of fun with the watering can!

BIG Reader

Owen has been into books a lot lately, and it doesn't seem to matter what kind of book! He can find cool things to look at even in the telephone book.

Sprinkler

Today I decided our front lawn needed a little watering and Owen was thrilled with the whole sprinkler experience.

He wasn't daring enough to jump directly over the sprinkler, but he loved running back and forth.

First Bath with Marcus

This was Owen and Marcus' first bath together. Owen was not too thrilled about sharing the tub space AND Marcus kept splashing him because he was a big kicker in the water.

Happy Birthday with Blocks!

Legos and Mega Blocks are huge hits with Owen. His favorite thing to do is build a big tower then start singing Happy Birthday. It is the funniest thing. Mommy usually tries to get him to practice blowing out the candles. He's going to be all set at his next birthday!
